The 26th Cavalry Regiment (PS) Ceremonial Mounted Unit
The Los Angeles-based 26th Cavalry (PS) Ceremonial Mounted Unit provided exhibitions and displays for the public's educational experience. They showcased the lives, uniforms, equipment and training of the World War II Cavalrymen of the Philippine Scouts. Read about the history of the original 26th Cavalry Regiment (PS) here.
The group performed Color Guard Ceremonies and World War II-Philippines battle re-enactments against Japanese Imperial Army re-enactors in Southern California living history events which gives the public a lasting impression of the Scout’s sacrifices for the defense of the Philippines and the United States of America. Some of the events the group has participated in include the 2014 Equestfest, 2015 Tet Parade, and the 2017 Rose Parade among many others.
